What Is Vascular Reduction?

Vascular reduction targets unwanted blood vessels—such as spider veins, broken capillaries, and vascular lesions—on the face and legs. The Spectrum Laser’s Long Pulsed YAG technology delivers precise laser energy directly to the affected veins. This energy is absorbed by the blood vessels, causing their walls to collapse and seal shut. Over time, the treated veins are naturally reabsorbed by the body, leaving your skin clearer and more even-toned.

How Does the Spectrum Laser Work?

The Spectrum 1064nm Long Pulsed YAG laser is designed for vascular reduction and is especially effective on smaller veins (3mm or less).
Laser energy is delivered through the skin and absorbed by the targeted vein, collapsing the vessel without damaging surrounding tissue.
The procedure is noninvasive, and most patients experience minimal discomfort—often described as a quick snap of a rubber band.

What to Expect During and After Treatment

Treatment: During the session, you may feel a mild snapping sensation as the laser targets the vessels.
Aftercare: Minor redness or swelling is normal. Cold packs can soothe the area, and you should avoid hot baths, saunas, and strenuous exercise for several days. Sunscreen is essential to protect treated skin.
Results: Veins will gradually fade over several weeks. For leg veins, full results may take 8-12 weeks. Multiple sessions may be recommended for best results.
